In forming She Serves, the VFW specifically honors the service and sacrifice of female veterans who have served faithfully in our overseas conflicts. This sisterhood of support fosters camaraderie among VFW members by connecting women with other veterans who understand the distinct pride of being a female service member.

She Serves was created to reach out to the women veteran population – a large group that brings vitality, energy and innovation to the VFW. Dedicated to assisting female veterans, the VFW understands that women military members confront issues that their male counterparts do not.

Joining She Serves is easy!
For just $35 per year, a member-at-large status offers: the Camaraderie, Support, Connections, Advocacy and Distinction you’ve rightfully earned! As a member-at-large, you will stay connected to a network of veterans and programs that you can take pride in. You’ll feel the support of other women who understand the distinct pride of being a female service member. Members-at-large do not belong to a Post, but your membership card gains you access to VFW’s 7,600 Posts around the world. And if you find a Post that you would like to call home, you can simply renew your membership through that Post.
Of course joining a Post should be your ultimate goal in support of your local community and fellow comrades. You will also be allowed to participate in Post elections and, if desired, become more involved in the offices of your local Post, District and State.
